Eerder is aangegeven welke problemen eventueel kunnen ontstaan bij Koreanen die Nederlands leren. Al deze eventuele problemen zullen hieronder opgesomd worden.
Helaas is er weinig informatie te vinden over de taalverwerving van het Koreaans als eerste taal. Wel is er gevonden dat Koreaanse kinderen werkwoorden eerder verwerven dan Amerikaanse kinderen. Er is wel informatie gevonden over op welke volgorde Koreanen de morfologie van het Engels verwerven en het blijkt dat Koreanen de Engelse morfologie heel anders verwerft dan moedertaalsprekers van het Engels. Ten slotte is er ook niet heel veel informatie gevonden over TOS in het Koreaans, maar er is wel onder andere onderzoek gedaan naar het gebruik van partikels, non-woorden en het herhalen van zinnen (Hwang, 2012; Kim, 2012, Lee et al., 2009).
